Airendiel opened her mouth to reply then closed it agian, thinking. "I...I always assumed I would return to Rivendell, after the shock of my brothers' deaths had worn off but now..." She paused again, thinking. "I...I really don't know if I want to. I just...I feel so at home here."

Haldir nodded in understanding. Lorien had a way of drawing people and captivating them completely.
"I understand. Hopefully you will stay so that we can see each other again." He said with a grin.

Airendiel smiled back. "Yes, I would like that. Since I really don't know anyone else here." She laughed, at herself? Maybe, all she knew was that she was truly happy for the first time in what felt like ages.

Haldir got Airendiel safely to the city and he watched as Airendiel spoke to someone about her grandmother. He had a plan if all did not go well for her.

Airendiel was incredibly nervous. Not only was she going to meet her true grandmother, she had to talk to the guard at the entrence. She explained in Quenyan that she was the granddaughter of the Lady of the Wood, that she had to get in and speak with her grandmother. The guard looked suspicious and unsure and seemed to hesitate to let her in.

Haldir stepped forward to speak to the guard.
"She is also my own personal guest. There is a room for her at my home that she will be occupying. We are old friends." He said with a confident smile. The guard seemed less suspicious. The marchwarden would let no threat into the city.

Airendiel smiled as the guard opened the gate for her and Haldir. Once she was sure they were out of hearing range she whispered to Haldir. "Are all elves here so suspecting of others?" A thought suddenly caught in her head. "Wait, you said I would be staying at your house? Is this true, if not where will I be staying?"

"It is true. I figured you had nowhere to stay anyway, so I offer you my home. I am rarely there anyway." He replied with a smile.
"But first! To see that grandmother of yours." He said and led her through the city.

Airendiel smiled. "Thank you." She laughed, "Yes, I am quite anxious to meet my grandmother. I remember so little of her."

Haldir smiled in reassurance.
"Who did you say your grandmother was again? I actually don't remember you telling me at all." He said in thought.

Airendiel smiled, "Oh, well, I might have only mentioned it in passing. She's well...Galadriel actually. I...I didn't really know until...well...all my memories came back." She looked down, "I suppose it's awful that I don't remember her, but I...I didn't know." A tear slid down her cheek.
