Haldir smiled at Airendiel's closeness. "Just don't worry yourself over memories. if they are of Lorien perhaps being here will make everything clear for you. Just relax. We can make camp here for the night if you wish it." He suggested.

Airendiel smiled, and without really thinking about it she laid her head on Haldir's shoulder. "I would like that, besides it would give me a chance to speak with you about my memories. I think that I might understand them better if I spoke of them."

Haldir smiled and put his arm around Airendiel. "Then you may tell me all that you feel comfortable revealing. Shall we look for some wood for a fire then?" He asked, still smiling contently.

Airendiel smiled, "Yes, I suppose we should." She sighed, but made no move to stand. She was comfortable here, being with Haldir made the weight of the memories seem less.

Haldir noticed that Airendiel didn't seem to want to get up. He took his arm from her shoulders and said, "You wait here, I will only be a moment." Then he got up and went to look for fire wood. He found some dry, dead branches nearby and made his way quickly back to the elf maiden with an armful of wood. When he returned he smiled at her and got a fire burning. "There," He said as he sat back beside her, "That should do for the night. Did you want to tell me your memories now?" He asked, placing a gentle hand on her hand.

Airendiel sighed, "Yes, I feel that it will make them easier to bear. My first one was certainly of my mother. A woman with wheat blonde hair and blue eyes, she smiled down at me, I can only assume that I was very young." Airendiel paused for a moment, "Celebrian, her name has returned to me from the other memories. My father is Elrond, my siblings are Elladan, Elrohir, and Arwen Undomiel." A stray tear ran down her cheek, "Why didn't they try to find me?"

"I know them. All of them. Celebrian is no longer in Middle Earth. She has sailed away many years ago. She was badly wounded by a poisoned orc arrow and no power in Middle Earth could heal her. Not even her mother, Galadriel. Elrond and his sons are in Rivendell and Arwen comes here often. As for your question, "He wiped her tear away, "I have no answer but perhaps Galadriel will."

Airendiel bit her lip and moved closer to Haldir, "Perhaps they thought I had followed my mother to the Undying Lands. I have the vaguest memory of trying to follow her."

Haldir looked thoughtful. "Perhaps. But that was so long ago. Tell me more." He said, still in thought. Perhaps Galadriel would have the answers for Airendiel that she so desperately needed.

Airendeil looked down, "I cannot, so many memories are still just uncertain blurs. All I can recall after trying to follow my mother is a frightening darkness, I knew I was looking for something, but I didn't know what. Then my adoptive family found me, and it seemed to me that I found what I sought." She bit her lip as the tears returned, running down her face in small streams.

"That is fine. When we reach the City, Lady Galadriel might be able to help you. She is, after all, your grandmother." He smiled at her reassuringly.

Airendiel looked up, her tears dry. "Yes, perhaps you're right. Hannon le Haldir." She smiled, glad that he was her friend, perhaps more than a friend, but her heart quivered a bit at that thought.

Haldir smiled down at her. "We should get some rest. Have you any blankets? I've plenty." He asked. "I'll take first watch. You can never be too careful."

Airendiel thought for a moment, then laughed, "I've plenty of blankets, however they happen to be in the tree I fell from this morning. I grabed my pack and sword when I heard you comming, and they stayed in the tree." She thought a bit more, "I think I can bring them across without having to use the rope. I'll be right back." She stood and ran to the river, she focused on the mental image of her pack and sword and moved them towards her. She grinned when they hit the ground in front of her, after she picked them up she ran back towards the clearing. She grinned brightly at Haldir, "Got them."

Haldir blinked and became confused. "How...? You didn't even..." He stammered trying to think of how she could have possibly done what she just did.
