"Ezzy! You are most certainly not cracked. In fact, I think I saw him one day, bounding through the forest. Unfortunately, I didn't get dinner out of it." He pouted a little bit. "Speaking of dinner, I can't remember if this place serves it or not."

Ezzy grinned, "Indead it does, if you don't mind doing it the proper way. Last time I tried to steal from the cook she threatened to cut my hands off, and she meant it." Ezzy called out for the inn-keaper, "What'd you want Pip?"

Pippin's face nearly cracked open from a huge grin. "I'd certainly love some stew, biscuits, cheese, bread, butter, cold cuts, pickles, any fruit lying about, and a blackberry tart. However, I can also take whatever's cooking. What about you, Ezzy?" He leaned forward eagerly; clearly here was someone with good hobbit-sense (for food, and everything else really).

Ezzy tugged on her earlobe as she thought, "Well let's see, assuming that Pippin hasn't cleaned the kitchen out, I'd like a meat pie warm mind, cheese, bread, some broth, a few apples, a pint of that delicious dark ale you have on tap, beef roast, a strawberry and an apple tart, and some curdled cream to go with the tarts." She grinned, "I missed elevensies."

Pippin gasped.
"Missing elevenses! The horror! Oh yes, of course I'd like some ale too. Please do clean the kitchen out for us, we're starving."
Turning to Ezzy, he said, "It's always good to have a healthy appetite."

Ezzy grinned, "Yes, always. I was going to get some elevensies when someone with a rather bulging coin purse walked by. I couldn't help myself."

"Oh-ho! Sounds like a fun time. Tell Pippin?"
He raises his eyebrows suggestively (no not that kind of suggestively you FOOL!)

Ezzy grinned, "Sure. Well I was just walking along minding my own business when rather bulbous looking old gaffer knocks right into me without even appologizing. Now I glared at him for a moment as he walked past, then I notice a nice fat jingling coin purse hanging from his belt. Of course I tail him for a while, then, when he was talking to a nice young lass about half his age, one of my accomplices, I pretend I've dropped something and snatch the purse right off the belt. He goes to pay for something and notices that his purse happens to no longer be there. Meanwhile I'm stuffing the thing into a err...safe place and dashing away while he's huffing and puffing trying to get his purse back. Mind he'll get the purse back eventually, it'll just be empty." Ezzy grinned broadly. "Course I'm not paying much attention to where I'm going and slam I run straight into you." She leaned back and grinned ear-to-ear while the food arrived and was set on the table.

"Interesting, he sounds familiar." Pipping grinned again. "Intriguing as it is, might we continue this conversation after eating?" He eyed the food hungrily, barely restraining himself.

Ezzy grinned, "Of course." She picked up her mug, "Chears!" After taking a swig she fell to.
((OOC: That's fell to eating by the way.))

Despite his ravening, Pippin couldn't help but notice the sun was almost set. He put down his fork for a second, frowning at no one in particular. Then, he shook it off and started devouring once more.

Ezzy sighed as she pushed the now-empty plates away from her and leaned back in her chair. "Well, that was a bit better than the last time I ate here."

Pippin stretched out in his chair, resting his hands on his belly.
"Aye, that was great."
He sighed. Then, he seemed to recall something.
"Hey Ezzy? I was wondering; did you notice that the trees are a bit... queer in the Old Forest? A few days ago I was exploring there and they seemed to be WALKING!"

Ezzy grinned, "Oh aye! You should see them at night! Taking great strides that must be seven yards if they're an inch! I looked it up the other day, Ents they're called, tree-herders, Onodrim in the Elvish tounge." She smiled, proud that she had remembered that.

Pippin nicked a slice of cheese from a passing waiter, an act unnoticed by everyone except Ezzy. He gnawed it for a few seconds, then said: "Almost makes you feel like exploring it one day, doesn't it."
