Ezzy stood in the middle of Farmer Maggot's cabbage patch, hoping that Pippin had gotten the letter she had sent just a few minutes ago. She sighed, she held tight to the reins of the two ponnies she had brought, one for the food and one for her, Pippin would have to bring his own. She pulled the pack ponny around and grabbed an apple from one of the bags. She hoped he would get there soon, they needed to get going soon if they were to get out of the Shire by the end of the day.

Pippin turned over uneasily, his dreams a morass of green sward and silver dew. He was searching for something... the light became blinding... and the sound of the sea became louder and louder...
He woke suddenly to sunlight slanting through his window. Then, remembering Ezzy's letter the previous night, he saddled his pony, packed a few choice belongings and a lot of food, and set off.
Seeing Ezzy, he hustled to her through the winding paths in the cabbage patch.

Ezzy sighed as she saw Pippin winding his way through the paths. "It took you long enough. Sleep in did you?" She tossed the apple core over her shoulder and mounted her ponny.

Yes, I'm quite sorry about being late. I was baking a few loaves for our journey.
Pippin clumsily pulled himself onto his pony.

Ezzy sighed, "It's fine really. I just get impatient." She gently kneed her pony to get it started then broke into a trot half-way across the patch, not careing if Pippin was behind her or not.
