"Ah. I am, yet again, in pursuit by the same frenzied elven maiden." Amras growled. "The plot thickens." Amras cackled and pressed onward, ever-watchful.

Airendiel readied her trusted sword in her hand as she ran, only just keeping her pace steady. She wished feverently for a horse, but since she had not thought that one would be necesary she was out of luck. She mustered all the voice she could and hoped it would be enough. "Come back here, only cowards run." She stopped running hoping that jibe would be enough.

"Only cowards run, you say?" Amras projected into the elf's mind. "Well, aproach me, maiden. What awaits you, only I fathom."

Airendiel aproached the being, her faithful sword Wilwarin glimmering in her hand. "You do not frighten me. I am Airendiel Noldoriel, daughter of Elrond Peredhel and Celebrian of Lothlorien. I am decended from all the High Elven Kings of old, my fore-mother was Luthien Tinuviel, and my mother's mother is Lady Galadriel of the Noldor. In my veins runs the blood of a Maiar and the blood of the noblest elves ever to walk these lands. You do not frighten me." Her eyes shone with defiance and strength, she would show this Maiar that she was not to be trifled with.

"Frighten you? Frighten you!" Amras bellowed. "I was merely testing you. And do not lecture I, Amras Nénharma, on you family bloodline. I know exactly who you are. I've looked for you for nearly a year now, and when I found you, I required a testing of you strength." The mystified look upon the gentle eyes of the elf sent Amras into a flurry of chuckles. After which, he began scanning the horizon of listeners. The woman figured that he was either about to say something that bore the possibility of offense or he was beckoning her to come closer. After realizing the the first of the two was absurd, after all, there were no one on the Pelennor Fields at this time of night, she leaned in to get a better listen. "After all, a venturing south of the Icebay of Forochel is no summer trip." He patronized. "It's dreadfully warm here. No, I need your assistance, maiden. I've seen your skill, at, well, what they here call swordplay, and I am delighted to say that you are almost as good as me." Amras grinned, synchronizing his lips with the off-putting eye-roll coming from the elf. "So... What do you say?" Amras gleefully inquired. "Oh, and it would be most efficient if I could actually address you by your birth-name. What did you say that was? If you said it all..." Amras grimaced. "Ah, this will be interesting" Amras muttered to himself.

Airendiel sighed, 'This is what you get for following strange birds around.' The mentor part of her criticized, 'This is over your head, I hope you know enough to step out while you can.' Strange how that part of her mind always managed to sound like her elder brother. Although she knew that she would regret it later she answered, "My name is Airendiel Noldoriel, you would do well to remember that." She stood before him, her eyes shining still, taking on the sheen of blue-gray jewels. "What would a Maiar need assistance with, though now I doubt that you are such. The Maiar have never seen fit to expose their identities so readily, save Melian, though that was a rather unique case."
(Note: The 'elder brother' mentioned is the one killed by orcs, the youngest of the two though still Airendiel's elder.)

"Question my position not, you trifle in places that need not trifling." Amras dropped back onto the ground. He felt his superiority drop as Airiendiel began to enforce her feminine brute. "You understand I meant no offense, fair maiden?" Amras held his had out as if to gesture for a handshake. The assumption was verified as Airiendiel lay her delicate fingers in the the man's comparatively barbaric hands. Amras draped the nape of his lips onto the top of her hands. Airiendiel shivered upon her convergence with Amras' icy breath. "Now where were we?"

Airendiel shivered, "Perhaps you had best answer that question. For I know not where this conversation leads. And I ask you to bear in mind that I have neither accepted nor denied your request for assistance, nor will I do so until I hear what this task is to be." She stood before him, rubbing her hand in atempt to warm it after its contact with the ice of Amras' breath.

"Well," Amras began. "a beast has driven many a friend of mine out of their dwellings in Mirkwood. I ask you not to slay it, but to travel with me there to aid the people effected."

Airendiel thought for a moment, and again the mentor voice screamed in her head, 'Get out of this Airendiel, its beyond you.' At the same time she told herself, 'This doesn't seem to hard, why not try this.' She cleared her throat to speak, "Very well Amras, I will travel with you, on one condition. One the way to Mirkwood we will pass Lothlorien, once there I wish to enter and speak with my friends and family."

"But of course." I expected no task without conditions, malady." Amras grimaced. "But if you will it, it is so." We will venture in the morning. I will meet with you here, in Pelennor fields at Dawns approach." Amras lept into the air, imploding into a maelstrom of pink and black smoke. "Until then..."

Airendiel stood there cursing, 'Stupid, sutpid, stupid! You just had to stick your foot in where it didn't need to be. Now you're stuck out here till dawn with no way back to the city but running and without even the slightest bit of shelter, lucky you grabbed your pack, at least you have food.' The menor voice was berating her while she verbaly cursed medaling Maiar. She found a small grove of trees and set up her blankets for the night, ate a small meal of lembas, and swiftly fell asleep.
